A new key visual has been revealed for fall TV anime Double Decker! Doug & Kirill, the latest project in the Tiger & Bunny franchise! Centered around protagonists Doug and Kirill, the visual features four more characters whose roles are unknown as of yet.
The anime follows veteran detective Doug and newbie Kirill as they team up to crack down on a highly dangerous drug called “Ansem.” Directed by Furuta Joji, it features character designs by Masakazu Katsura with series composition by Suzuki Tomohiro. Like Tiger & Bunny, animation is by Sunrise.


Double Decker! Doug & Kirill is slated to begin airing in fall. The first and second episodes will also premiere at Sunrise Festival 2018 Kouen on Sept. 2 along with a special panel.

One-Punch Man Season 2 Coming in Apr. 2019

Superhero anime One-Punch Man will be returning in Apr. 2019 with Season 2! Along with the big news, a visual and teaser video were also revealed.
Both the visual and video feature the familiar faces of Saitama and Genos (the former's cyborg disciple), as well as a new character named Garo, who is fascinated with monsters.
Adapted from ONE's webcomic of the same name, One-Punch Man follows the comedic adventures of Saitama, a ridiculously powerful superhero who has grown bored due to his ability to defeat any enemy with literally one punch.
One-Punch Man is slated to air in Apr. 2019.

A Certain Magical Index Season 3 Unveils Latest PV

The long-awaited third season of A Certain Magical Index is set to air from Oct. 5, and its latest PV showcases the opening theme for the upcoming series: “Gravitation” by Kurosaki Maon.
A Certain Magical Index is adapted from the popular light novel series written by Kamachi Kazuma and illustrated by Haimura Kiyotaka. The first season of the TV anime adaptation was broadcast back in 2008, with season two following in 2010 as well as a theatrical movie and other spin-off properties.
The franchise is set in a world in which science and magic co-exist and follows the adventures of its various protagonists as they become embroiled in mysterious events.
Abe Atsushi will reprise his role as Touma Kamijou alongside Iguchi Yuka as Index. The cast and creative team will remain largely the same as previous seasons.
A Certain Magical Index Season 3 will air from Oct. 5, 2018.

Fist of the Blue Sky Re:Genesis Anime to Air from October

The second season of Fist of the Blue Sky Re:Genesis will begin broadcasting on Tokyo MX and other networks from Oct. 8! Amazon Prime Video will also be streaming the series one week ahead of the TV broadcast.
Fist of the Blue Sky Re:Genesis is adapted from Hara Tetsuo and Buruson's manga Fist of the Blue Sky, the prequel to their popular title Fist of the North Star. Set in Shanghai in the 1930s, the series follows Kasumi Kenshirou (otherwise known as Yan Wang) - the secret successor to the Hokuto Shinken martial art, as he travels to China to help a friend in trouble with the Triads.
The Season 2 key visual shows Kasumi Kenshirou striding off towards an unknown future. A video summarizing the first season and teasing the second season has also been released.
Fist of the Blue Sky Re:Genesis airs on Tokyo MX from Oct. 8 with the first episode available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from Oct. 1.

Sword Art Online Season 3 Confirms LiSA and Aoi Eir for OP/ED Themes



Upcoming anime Sword Art Online: Alicization has announced the artists behind its opening and ending theme songs!


Singer-songwriter LiSA will perform the series opening track, titled "ADAMAS". LiSA is a regular fixture in the Sword Art Online franchise, having performed Season 1 opening theme “Crossing Field”, Season 2 ending theme “No More Time Machine”, and Ordinal Scale main title track “Catch the Moment”.


The ending theme, “Iris”, will be performed by Aoi Eir. The Sapporo-born singer is no stranger to the series either, having contributed to Season 1 with ending theme “Innocence” and Season 2 opening theme "Ignite", as well as "Niji no Oto”, the main theme for special episode Sword Art Online Extra Edition.


Sword Art Online: Alicization is the third season in the main Sword Art Online series and follows Kirito as he once again becomes trapped inside an online game. Together with Eugeo, a strange NPC who seems to possess human emotions, and a golden-haired girl named Alice, Kirito must search for a way to return to the real world.


Saint Seiya Spin-Off Saintia Sho Confirms Dec. 2018 Anime Premiere

Saint Seiya: Saintia Sho, a spin-off to Kurumada Masami's classic manga series Saint Seiya, will premiere on ANIMAX via PlayStation® in Dec. 2018!
Saintia Sho is based on the manga series of the same name by Chimaki Kuori. It picks up directly after the original series but focusses on the young protagonist Shou, who belongs to a class of female warriors and Athena’s personal handmaidens, known as “Saintia”.
In addition to the broadcast date and key visual release, the show has also confirmed preliminary casting including voice actresses Suzuki Aina (Shou), M.A.O (Kyouko), Minase Inori (Saori), and Nakajima Megumi (Mii).

Fairy Tail's Final Season Reveals New Visual!

A new key visual for the upcoming final season of TV anime series Fairy Tailhas been revealed! Featuring siblings Natsu and Zeref, it is clear that fans will be able to see their fates collide one last time.
Sometime in September, there will also be an advance screening, but no details have officially been released yet.
Written by Mashima Hiro, Fairy Tail was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine in Aug. 2006. Though the manga series ended in July 2017 with 63 volumes under its belt, the anime adaptation has been in motion since Oct. 2009 with over 277 episodes to date.
Fairy Tail's final season is set to premiere in Japan on Oct. 7.

My Hero Academia Movie Celebrates 1 Million Ticket Sales With an Illustration From Horikoshi Kouhei

Anime movie My Hero Academia: Two Heroes is proving to be a hit at the box office, having just cracked a whopping one million ticket sales.
In celebration of this milestone, original author Horikoshi Kouhei posted a new illustration on his Twitter feed featuring a goofy-looking Deku celebrating alongside Melissa Shields, one of the new characters introduced in the movie.
The movie is inspired by Horikoshi Kouhei's manga My Hero Academia, which is currently running in Weekly Shonen Jump. Set in a world in which superpowers known as “Quirks” are the norm, the series follows Deku, a Quirkless student of superhero academy U.A. High School. The movie is set between the second and third seasons of the TV anime and follows Izuku and All Might's trip to island where the world’s top scientists conduct research into Quirks.
My Hero Academia: Two Heroes is currently screening in cinemas across Japan.
